Traveling Car Launches New TABIVAN O.W.L. Camper
notice

Thank you for using our traveling car.
This year, too, the summer vacation season is upon us.
This time of year is expected to be very busy on highways and major roads throughout the country. For safe and comfortable driving, please plan well in advance and gather information in advance.
Periods and trends when traffic congestion is expected to be particularly high
During the summer vacation period, especially during the following periods, there is usually serious traffic congestion.
Obon period (August 9 (Sat.) to August 17 (Sun.), 2025)
During this period, travel for homeward-bound and leisure travelers will be at their peak, and heavy traffic congestion is expected especially on downbound routes (from major cities to regional areas) in the first half of the consecutive holidays, and on upbound routes (from regional areas back to major cities) in the second half of the consecutive holidays. Long periods of congestion are also expected at certain points, such as near interchanges and service areas.
Weekend
Even outside of the Obon period, traffic volume increases significantly on weekends and holidays during summer vacation. Traffic congestion is especially likely to occur on roads near beaches and holiday resorts, and near entrances to tourist attractions.
At the time of the event
On days when fireworks displays and other large-scale events are held, traffic congestion may temporarily occur on the surrounding roads due to the concentration of traffic.
For a comfortable trip
Gather thorough information prior to departure!
The Japan Road Traffic Information Center (JARTIC) website and apps, as well as the websites of expressway companies, provide the latest traffic congestion and traffic regulation information in real time. We recommend gathering information not only just before departure, but also the day before.
Some RV parks and other overnight spots can be reserved in advance. Since it is expected to be crowded during the summer vacation period, advance reservations are recommended.

Plan ahead and allow plenty of time!
To avoid traffic jams, it is effective to choose a time when there is less traffic, such as an early morning departure.
Allow a significant margin of time to reach your destination, such as assuming more than double the normal time. If you are too tied down by arrival time, your impatience may lead to dangerous driving.
Take frequent breaks and refresh yourself!
Driving in traffic can be mentally and physically exhausting. Take it easy and take a break at a service area or parking area every two hours.
During breaks, try to refresh yourself with some light exercise or stretching. If you have a passenger, consider taking turns driving.
Check fuel frequently!
You do not want to be unable to get into a gas station during a traffic jam or run out of fuel during a traffic jam. In addition to filling up your tank before driving for long periods of time, be sure to refuel early on the highway.
Don't forget to prepare for emergencies!
It is a good idea to have drinking water, snacks, and a simple toilet in the car in case you have to stop for a long time in a traffic jam.
Since the inside of a car in summer tends to get hot (especially on the rear side), cool drinks and cooling products are effective as heat stroke countermeasures.
A Request to Everyone
In order to ensure that everyone using a campervan has a safe and enjoyable summer vacation, please take note of the above precautions and drive safely and without strain.
If you will not be able to return the car on time due to traffic jams, etc., please contact the store as soon as you know this.
Under no circumstances will a late return fee of 3,000 yen per hour be charged.
As a general rule, we cannot handle returns after business hours. In such cases, we will return the equipment after we open for business the next morning. We thank you for your understanding.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
